Many Muslim communities operate "Weekend" or "Sunday" schools. In fact, in North America, such projects have become the dominant method of instructing Muslim youth in the ways of Islam.
Experience has so far produced a mixed track record of results as far as meeting objectives is concerned. Some programs are spectacularly successful while others lag behind.
What can we learn from each experience and how can we make this teaching vehicle serve young Muslims in a more efficient way? This is the question that this area of our site seeks to answer.
