| Reading and Literature | Fourth Grade |
As was mentioned in the third grade section, the difference in reading ability between third and fifth is surprisingly negligible. The major difference between each grade is in vocabulary familiarity.
Another small difference is in patience. Some students, by this grade level, will have the patience and competence to read a story of fifty pages or more. They also are better able to tell a boring story from an interesting one so make sure to choose the best!
