    We Muslims are very fortunate people in that Allah (swt) has blessed us with the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet to lead our lives. We just have to follow it, "practically".  Is it very difficult?

    "Forgiveness and Other Matters" is an author's commentary that reminds us about the good deeds a Muslim is supposed to practice.  I recommend this book for grades 6th and up.

    Each chapter begins with a brief explanation about the concepts of Forgiveness, Promise, Ihsan, Mercy, Kindness and so on supported by the Ayahs from the Qur'an. Let me share some of them with you.

    "Is there any reward for good (Ihsan), 
other than good (Ihsan)?"   (Qur'an 55 :60)

    "...Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful." ( Qur'an 24 : 22 )

    This book also has some very interesting stories for kids like, "The Sword of Allah", "The First Muslim Youth" etc...

    In conclusion I would say that "Forgiveness and Other Matters" reminded me and helped me to better understand the basic concepts of Islamically appropriate behavior.
