Expenditures in Allah's Cause

1. Muhammad (p) said that Allah said: If you spend (to help others), O son of Adam! I [Allah] shall spend on you.
(Bukhari, Muslim).

2. It is better for a person to give a dirham (dollar) as charity during his lifetime than to give a hundred at the time of his death.
(Abu Dawud).

3. Do not consider any act of kindness insignificant, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.
(Muslim).

4. Charity given to a poor man is just charity, but when given to a relative it serves a double purpose, being both a charity and a connecting link.
(Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasai, Ibn Majah, Darimi).
