Acting on Knowledge

    Once a Muslim has acquired knowledge, they are required to act upon it.  For example, the Blessed Prophet once said, "Teach this message even if but one verse." (Bukhari)  This command shows that even if you know only a little you must promote it.

    The Blessed Prophet also said, "A person who does not seek knowledge nor teach it to others for the sake of Allah should be ready for Hell."  (Mishkat)

    Therefore we see the basic duty of the person who knows something is to spread knowledge so that others may know.
